SSC MTS Recruitment 2024 Important Dates
The SSC MTS 2024 Notification has been released on 27 June 2024. The online application forms will be accepted from 27 June to 31 July 2024. The SSC MTS 2024 written exam will be held in October-November 2024. All these dates are taken from the official exam calendar released by the SSC.
SSC MTS 2024 Age Limit
The age limit is 18-25 years for MTS and Havaldar in CBN (Department of Revenue) and 18-27 years for Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and a few posts of MTS. The crucial date for the calculation of the age limit is 1 August 2024.

For the SSC MTS and CBIC/ CBN Havaldar Recruitment 2024, the candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination (10th Class) or equivalent from a recognized Board as on or before the cut-off date i.e. August 1, 2024.

The selection procedure of the SSC MTS Vacancy 2024 includes the following stages:
- Computer Based Test (CBT) Exam
- Physical Test (PET/ PST)- Only for CBIN/ CBN Havaldar

SSC MTS 2024 CBT Exam Pattern
The SSC MTS Vacancy 2024 Computer-Based Examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions. The questions will be set in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages. There will be no negative marking in Session I. In Session II, there will be a negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer. The detailed exam pattern of the SSC MTS exam is shown in the image below.
SSC CBIC/CBN Havaldar Physical Standards
The candidates who will pass the written exam and have opted for the CBIC/ CBN Havaldar posts, have to undergo a Physical Test. The CBIC/ CBN Havaldar Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standards Test (PST) details are given below.
- Height and Chest Measurement: The height requirement for the CBIC/ CBN Havaldar is 157.5 cm for Males and 152 cm for Females. Male candidates should also have a minimum chest size of 76 cm with at least 5cm expansion.
- Walking: Male candidates should also have to complete a walking test of 1.6 Km in 15 minutes. While the female candidates need to walk 1 Km in 20 minutes.
